League Nights: every Friday in September from 4p-8p, come hang with other competitors, climb the new sets, demo gear from our sponsors, and earn bonus points!
September 30th, 7p – 11p at The Front South Main
Party Tickets: $15 for members, $25 for non-members, day-of tickets +$5
$5 from each ticket and all proceeds from the raffle goes to the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance! Party admission includes two drink tokens and a food ticket. Entrance to the party itself is free for members, and guests are welcome with either a day pass or a Party Ticket.
Get your last points in until 6:30p, then stick around for the podium and prizes, gear raffle, drinks from Uinta Brewing, and local food trucks! South Main will still be open for climbing and programming on the second and third floor for those who do not wish to attend the party on 9/30.
Sendtember Ropes League is a 5-week rope climbing competition. Climbers will compete individually.
Ropes League is a great opportunity to not only hone in on your endurance strength, but also to meet new people to climb with. Each week competitors will have opportunities to earn bonus points by climbing with a new partner!
Registration will open on August 1st.
Any current Front Member. With our current scoring structure to help those who are consistently climbing, not just the strongest climbers.
Non-members are welcome with the purchase of a day pass each time they wish to climb. Find more info on memberships and all of the awesome amenities that come with them at Salt Lake City, Ogden, and South Main.
Each week, 2 routes will be added to pebble per each competition category. Each climb will contain 8 zones that will be scored, plus the finishing hold. The last zone that a climber used will be recorded as their score/highpoint for that attempt. Climbers must establish control on the hold they intend to score as their high point (control meaning moving off the hold or clipping from it).
Comp routes will go live on Pebble at 8a on Friday mornings. Competitors will be able to score routes from until the next Thursday at 11p. Routes will be set before they are added to the comp, meaning you will be able to try routes before the comp. Recording these routes in Pebble before the comp period will not affect your overall score.
A lead climber may top-rope a route, but will receive a 10 point deduction for doing so. Top-Rope climbers will not get a point bonus for leading a route.
Each Thursday, at the end of the scoring period, you will get a score that reflects your three highest scoring route attempts.
Competitors will be able to earn bonus points during the competition! Bonus point categories include climbing with a new belay partner, attending demo nights and trying new gear, or attending presentation nights.
Sendtember Nights will take place every Friday at South Main during the duration of the competition. Points may be earned between 4p-8p.
