It’s giving season, and with a donation through the Impact Coalition, you can turn every day into Giving Tuesday.
There are lots of reasons that The Front members are so great; their taste for adventure, their broad range of personalities that fit seamlessly into one great community, their undying love for the sport! But one major thing that brings us all together is the support we have for each other and our community. That’s why, here at The Front, we love to give back to our community through something called Impact Coalition!
What is the Impact Co?
You may have heard of Impact Co when signing up for a membership, or maybe you’ve spotted our posters around the gym. (If you haven’t, ask a staff member to show you the way, you can check out the animals of the month, plus see how much we have already donated!) Impact Co is our commitment to giving back to the community, and it allows us as members to easily donate to local non-profit organizations.
Meet the Non-Profits
The Front partners with a variety of non-profit organizations, whether you’re an animal lover, an outdoor enthusiast, or passionate about supporting local youth, we have an organization for you!
Utah Open Lands
UOL has been preserving, protecting and stewarding open space in Utah since 1990. They work with landowners, government agencies and communities to safeguard spaces as Utah’s only statewide land trust. They most recently raised the $640,000 needed to protect Castleton tower, one of Utah’s most iconic climbing destinations!
Community Animal Welfare Society
CAWS is Utah’s oldest animal rescue group. They are a no-kill, volunteer, foster-based non-profit organization that works with the community to help rescue, foster, educate and adopt. CAWS is committed to saving animals and finding them their fur-ever home and has been successful with its sustainable and innovative process. Over 300 animals have been adopted during this quarter, and they have successfully rescued and adopted over one thousand dogs and cats from shelters every year since 2015!
Utah Clean Energy
UCE works toward stopping energy waste, creating clean energy and building a smart future. With the help of the FCC Impact Co funds (that’s us!), the team was able to push back against several bills that hinder Utah’s transition toward a renewable future. They’re currently working to educate builders, developers and homeowners on how to create more sustainable and pollution-free homes and buildings. They also have the Lunch and Learn series, where you can learn more!
YCC Family Crisis Center
The YCC Family Crisis Center supports individuals and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence through safety, advocacy and resources. They also offer education and help for anyone experiencing domestic or sexual violence through the website. They have 191 protective orders, have offered 226 hours of free therapy and have performed 341 crisis interventions just in Q4 of 2023! Fun fact, the YCC is less than 1 mile away from The Front Ogden location, so you know your donations will help out local families in need.
VOA of Utah
VOA-UT help individuals who struggle with homelessness, addiction and mental illness. The FCC Impact Coalition funds have helped the Youth Resource Center continue to provide services to Utah youth ages 15-22, and they conducted a partnership with the Corporation of Supportive housing which helps bridge the gap in improving services for SLC youth experiencing homelessness. They serve meals to, and collect basic needs items for youth experiencing homelessness.
