A Perfect Day at The Front

Imagine this no responsibilities, the whole day to yourself, you could do anything. The thought hits you, you could spend the WHOLE day at the gym! (I know I would).

Every Front location offers tons of classes, activities, areas for work and rest, and opportunity to meet new friends, it would be easy to spend all day there. As someone who spends a lot of time at the gym already, I’d love to build up some inspiration for spending a whole day at The Front, even if you do still have responsibilities.

Let’s face it, it’s rare to have a whole day for ourselves sometimes, but I think I know just how to make it the best day ever.

So Many Classes, So Little Time (Until Tomorrow)

6:15A – 7:15A // Group Fitness wake-up

While checking out the Pebble app you see that there’s one spot left for Stephanie’s 6:15a Cycle and Strength class, so you click the log in button at the top of the page and create an express booking profile and snag one the the last couple of spots. Logging in allows you to see your current bookings and cancel your classes if needed. All of The Front’s classes are available through Pebble, including yoga, group fitness and climbing classes all free for members! While you’re checking in, you see your favorite Vinyasa class has a session tonight at 7:00p – you add your name now, so you don’t miss out if spots fill up over the day.

Take a relaxing shower in one of the brand new, private shower booths below the spin studio, dry off, dress up, and head over to the south building for a recovery breakfast.

8:00a – 9:00a // breakfast at the cafe

After the Cycle and Strength class it’s time for breakfast at Rumsy’s. The breakfast sandwich looks delish, especially paired with a perfectly prepared cappuccino. With its gentle, comfy ambience and the smell of coffee floating through the air, the third floor cafe couches are the perfect spot to enjoy that sandwich.

A couple of other early bird climbers are working on a project on the tallest wall in the gym! You’ve got the perfect view to watch the magic from.

9:00a – 12:00p // work, work, work

Switch gears by moving to the north-facing window bar to work on some personal projects or catch up on your emails with a gorgeous view of the courtyard below and foothills beyond. You’ve got free WiFi here, so it’s easy to settle in and get through your tasks.

With Work Out of the Way, We Have the Rest of the Day

12:00p – 3:00p // we break for climbing

Some friends end up showing up to train and project, at which point you think maaaaaybeee you should cancel your vinyasa class and instead sign up for Restore Yoga at 7, because you just might be a little sore after all of this activity! You open Pebble back up and, since you signed in earlier while registering for a class, you are able to cancel your class through the app and sign up for the Restore class. Thankfully, class is over 6 hours away still so you can cancel quickly with no consequence!

The group heads to the weight room to warm up for climbing, first jumping on some ellipticals for a full body warm up, then moving on to some dynamic stretching and finally to the bouldering area. After a few warmup climbs, your friends challenge you to a game of Hive for some shenanigans and tests of skill.

3:00p – 5:00p // R&R

After a few hours of playing and projecting, everyone is huuuuungry, so you all proceed to go grab a protein bar and kombucha from the gear shop. Maybe you give that new pair of jeans in the shop a quick stare down – those look like they’d fit perfectly. You make a mental note to try them on after your buddies head home.

The crew starts to split a bit; a couple of you think it’s time to hang out and relax in the courtyard hammocks, or maybe play some ping pong or pickle ball indoors. Your most creative friends head over to work on their ceramics projects at Studio 1396. You’ve never tried ceramics before, but just like falling in love with any other hobby, you know you have to give it a couple solid tries to see if it’s right for you! You’ll try ceramics as a date night next week for sure.

A Relaxing Evening To Wrap Up The Day

5:00p – 7:00p // Dinner time

It’s 5:00, which means a trip back up to Rumsy’s for Chef Eric’s dinner specials, including one vegan and one omnivore option. Chef Eric’s Specials are available every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, or grab Tacos on Taco Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:30p.

Each dinner has a beverage special for the day chosen to pair perfectly with the evening’s entrees – that date night next week is shaping up to be ceramics followed by the Wednesday dinner and wine pairing!

You catch up on your book in the hammocks in the courtyard, giving yourself a little time to digest until your next activity.

7:00p – 9:00p // Evening Rituals

Finally! It’s time for Restore Yoga. Take some time to relax and unwind from this perfectly busy day by finding your breath in Savasana. Before you head home, you hit the sauna for a 20-minute session. You’re going to sleep like a baby tonight.

What Day Will You Create?

While this would be my personal perfect day at the gym, the possibilities are endless! The Front has so many different types of classes, from barre to beginner ceramics to bouldering lessons. Most of our classes are free with a membership or day pass, and they run throughout the day.

There’s ample room for remote work, and tons of fun activities like Gallery Night, Trivia Tuesdays, Wednesday evening chess club and so much more – all included with your Front membership.

No matter who you are, we have something that you will love, so come join the fun and head home a little stronger than when you arrived!
