We currently asking guests and members to keep social distancing protocols at the top of mind. There may be times when your favorite route already has climbers on either side, or an area has already reached full capacity – in those cases, we ask for your willingness and openness to try something new! Our facilities are plenty large enough to provide you with all the space you need to keep 10 feet away from other parties, but we need to spread out to do so! Here are a few ideas:
Day Of The Week
Our facilities are busier on certain days of the week, usually Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you can, give an alternate day a try! Schedule your visits for:
Monday // Friday // Weekends
Time of Day
Most people use our facilities from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Check us out at a chiller time:
Before 4pm // After 8pm
Choosing Activities
You may have a favorite machine in the fitness areas, but keep your routine fresh and avoid crowding by trying a new activity in a quieter area of the gym! It also helps you prevent boredom, and can smash fitness plateaus associated with doing the same thing workout after workout.
Choosing Spaces
There are several lower-foot-traffic spaces you can utilize when you visit. At SLC, check out the School Room on the third floor for climbing warm-ups, or the Front Training Room on the other side of the O.G. Boulder for weights. At South Main, try testing your strength on the Wave Wall on the South end of the 2nd floor or head up to the 3rd floor for some cardio. At Ogden, try warming up in the round room where there is a designated traverse line to help get your fingers ready or put your strength to the test in the Training Room above the bouldering area.
Choosing Location
The Salt Lake City weights & cardio area reaches full capacity quickly. Avoid the crowds by scheduling exercise times at South Main, a short couple miles away! South Main has a lot to love at 50k square feet, with lots of extra space to spread out across two floors of fitness equipment.
