Our “learn” menu let’s you know just how you can earn points. And it’s not just classes! There are multiple ways to earn points, like attending events or checking off one of the dozens of badges in Pebble. Several classes take you straight to the climbing prize – take the class, earn the gear!

Points may be earned and redeemed on the Pebble Climbing app until December 10, 2023. Participant may earn a maximum of 40 points/monthly. Limit one Learn to Lead and one Mastering 5.10 class per member.

Sample Journeys
Beginner Journey
Let’s start with the Beginner track. This guided journey is designed for climbers who are just starting out and want to learn the fundamentals. By participating in this Beginner’s route, you’ll have the chance to earn points and gear through every climbing class you take. We’ve made it beyond easy to finish all your fundamentals over 6 months. So, unlock your rewards as you go, and gain the knowledge to start climbing like a pro by following our tried-and-true new climber learning system.
Month 1: Take Intro to Climbing (+20pts), pass your top rope (+10pts) and autobelay tests (+10pts), and secure your shoes!
Month 2: Attend a Skills Station class (+10pts), try two of our Intro Classes (+10pts each), and attend a Summer Music Series night and secure your harness!
Month 3: Level up with Mastering 5.10 and earn a Petzl GRIGRI.
Month 4: Attend another summer event (+10pts), keep going off the wall with two more yoga, group fitness, or Jiu-Jitsu classes (+10pts each), and plan to earn a badge in Pebble (+10pts). Save your points for a shopping spree in Month 5.
Month 5: Keep up your routine (+40pts)! Repeat the success of Month 4 and spend your collected 80 points on Front swag and accessories.
Month 6: Get on the best walls by completing Learn to Lead and bringing home a 40m Petzl rope.
Experienced Journey
Next up is the Experienced Journey. This pathway is designed for climbers with experience who want to kick it up a notch or make The Front their new home. With our Experienced track, you can earn your points a little differently. We know you might not need introductory instruction, but we want you to feel right at home in our facilities. Earn points through classes of your choice, attending events, and even bringing a buddy to climb! Whether you’re interested in bouldering, sport climbing, or trad climbing, we have a variety of classes and events that will help you improve your skills and earn rewards along the way.
Month 1: Earn your top rope tags (+10pts) and get started with two of our Intro Classes for yoga, group fitness, or Jiu-Jitsu (+10pts each), and secure a new pair of shoes!
Month 2: Secure your Lead Climbing tags (+10pts) and earn a badge in Pebble (+10pts). Keep going with yoga, group fitness, or Jiu-Jitsu (+10pts). Get yourself a new harness!
Month 3: Check out the Summer Music Series (+10pts), take down another Pebble badge (+10pts), and attend two more non-climbing classes (+10pts).
Month 4: Fallen in love with one of our included classes? Get consistent and attend one every week (+10pts)! Gain a new 40M Petzl rope!
Month 5: Get traveling! Check out the remaining Front locations to gain the corresponding badge in Pebble (+10pts). Attend another summer event (+10pts). Lock in one more badge in Pebble (+10pts). Attend one more unlimited class (+10pts), and go get yourself a new chalk bag, chalk, Front hat, and Front tee.
Month 6: Keep up the fun! Attend a fall event (+10pts), keep up with two more classes (+10pts), and earn your final point-scoring Pebble badge (+10pts). Go get your buddy a harness and use that buddy pass (+10pts)! Your last set of points are yours to spend from the Earn menu.

Gear Now! Membership
Finally, we have the Gear Now! Membership. This special offer is designed for those who want their rewards up front and will follow through with their classes and community-building afterwards. With this six-month membership, you get all your earnings on day one (taking points outta the game). After those 6 months, your plan automatically turns into an EFT membership, so you don’t have to worry about renewing. Ultimately, this option allows you to tailor your learning experience to your exact needs and interests, with the Front staff as your guides and mentors, giving you the flexibility to learn and grow at your own pace with no wait for the tools you need.

Learn & Earn: What is it?
We provide you the gear, you get the whole package.
As it gets warmer out, our brains slowly shift from that sweet, idyllic sense of cozy hibernation to, I have to get out and touch some grass, or I may die. As a newer climber, the longer days and pull of the vibrant Front community have me hoping to get out on the wall far more. And here’s the thing. I wouldn’t call myself a “climber” by any stretch. I’m just a person who loves gamifying my life every once in a while. Setting little goals here and there, finding a new challenge to partially obsess over, and feeling like I’ve won the lottery once a personal goal is met. Climbing is that lottery ticket.
That’s what excites me most about our upcoming spring membership promo. If I didn’t climb at The Front, it’s the type of promo I’d seek out at any non-work or non-home refuge. The type of rewards system I’d gladly accept as a newer climber (or a seasoned one) looking to find my footing in the indoor climbing realm.

From May 10th to June 9th, we’re offering a unique opportunity for climbers of all levels to join our community, make some new friends, learn new skills, and earn as many rewards as possible.
At The Front, climbing is more than just a physical activity. It’s a way of life, a community, and a passion. Learn and Earn is designed to help you challenge yourself, connect with other climbers, and discover your place in this community.
How Does Learn and Earn Work?
Okay, so you and Learn and Earn have been properly introduced. But now you’re probably wondering, how does it even work? It’s simple, really! You earn points by accomplishing the items from our “learn menu”, earning up to 40 points a month until December. And yes, if you’ve taken a look at the menu, there’s a lot on there. If you’re easily overwhelmed by a myriad of choices, you can always follow one of our learning guidelines and make your experience effortless. Our Beginner and Experienced tracks are both laid out in a way that’ll guide you through (what we think) is the best way to spend your time on the walls from month to month.

At The Front, we believe every climber’s journey is unique and personal. That’s why we created the Learn and Earn program with flexibility in mind. Our guided pathways for each month are designed to help you build a solid foundation for climbing, but they’re not set in stone.
However, if you’re anything like me, sometimes having a suggested route can be helpful. Consider the Beginner and Experienced tracks, several unique pathways that’ll help you get the most out of Learn and Earn. Our program is designed to be inclusive, so no matter your climbing background or goals, you can find a path that works for you.
- Our Beginner Journey is perfect for those who are just starting out and want to learn the fundamentals of climbing.
- Our Experienced Journey is ideal for climbers with some expertise but who want to further develop their skills and techniques.
- Our Gear Now! Membership option is designed for those who want to fully customize their learning experiences.
Following the pathways allows you to learn new skills, refine your technique, and challenge yourself in a supportive environment. Each pathway is carefully crafted to help you progress through the climbing levels and ensure a well-rounded experience.
The Sole-Mate First Month
You have a pretty good idea of what you want to get up to this summer at The Front, but we have a little cheat code to getting the most critical piece of gear right away during your first month.
- Take our Intro to Climbing class, earning a cool 20 points
- Earn your top rope and autobelay tags in class, bringing in another ten points each.
- Boom, you’ve got 40 points, the exact amount needed for and a date between you and a new pair of Scarpa or La Sportiva shoes in the Gear Shop.
If you’ve already been around the proverbial block and don’t need Intro to Climbing, just take any two of our other Intro classes for yoga, group fitness, or Jiu-Jitsu! Earn your tags like you would normally, and the shoes are yours.
Build Your Own Path
You might have different goals or preferences than we’ve imagined, so we encourage you to make the Learn and Earn journey your own. If you follow our pathways, cool! But following our guides is not mandatory, though we’ve worked hard on them, so we recommend it to make your experience more sustainable and rewarding. If you choose not to follow the paths, you can still earn points and unlock rewards by participating and working through items on our “learn menu.” This program is flexible, so make it work for you!
Regardless of which track you choose, the Learn and Earn program is a fun challenge that will help you broaden your horizons and build our your gear closet. Points can be redeemed for anything from Front apparel to incredible climbing gear from Petzl, Scarpa, and La Sportiva, making it a win-win situation for everyone.

Getting rewards for doing what you love might be enough to get you on board but Learn and Earn is more than just a rewards program. Who’s Eligible?
So, what are you waiting for? If you sign up for any of our EFT memberships from May 10th to June 9th, you’re automatically eligible to participate in Learn and Earn! Whether you work within a pre-guided journey or go with the flow you can still collect and spend points until December 10th, 2023.
