This Adaptive Youth Climbing Camp is catered towards children age 6 to ​13 that are on the Autism Spectrum. Led by our Adaptive Program Coordinator, the Adaptive Youth Camp offers a smaller camp size with a more intentional staffing ratio to help each kid find their stoke in climbing. Participants will learn climbing fundamentals such as rope work and climbing movement techniques, while playing games, forming friendships, and having fun on and off the wall! In addition to tuckering them out, our camps teach kids transferable life skills such as problem-solving, self-awareness, goal setting, communication, and perseverance. We’ll also have fun games such as no-handed climbing, blind climbing and climbing capture the flag! No specialty adaptive systems will be used during this camp.
