Get some movement into your child’s day and let them explore the sport of rock climbing through the Send School! Kids ages 6 to 13 of all skill levels can join us in four-week blocks of fun, friendship, and adventure.
Send School 101 familiarizes your child with the basics of climbing and encourages building a solid foundation of teamwork and individual skills. Send School 102 is where climbers who know the basics can progress. To ensure each participant receives a high-quality and tailored experience, we limit the class size to keep groups small and increase the amount of time instructors can work with each student.
The main goals of the program are to have fun, learn climbing fundamentals, and develop powerful friendships. Our experienced staff will work with your child as they develop their strength and technique, learn about proper gear use, and build teamwork and communication skills. Everything is taught in a non-competitive atmosphere.
New to climbing? Send School 101 is your entry point. Over four weeks, you’ll build the fundamentals every climber needs: reading a wall, moving with control, and becoming part of the gym community.
Each week builds on the last. You’ll start with falling technique and gym etiquette, then move into climbing vocabulary, footwork, and learning to read a route before you climb it. By Week 4, you’ll have the skills and confidence to keep climbing on your own.
Cost includes all equipment rentals and instruction. Registration is for one day per week, for four weeks. Send School typically runs from late August until early May, based on local school district calendars.
You’ve finished 101 and you can get up the wall. Send School 102 is where your climber can progress and build upon the foundations learned in 101.
Every session runs the same rhythm: a warm-up game to get moving, a focused skill block where you work one specific thing, climbing time to put it into practice, and a short debrief where the group talks about what clicked.
