Climbing is one of the fastest-growing and most engaging youth sports in the world. Now an Olympic event, the future for youth participation and development in the sport of climbing is brighter than ever. Competition climbing provides valuable and unique experiences for young athletes. It teaches them how to stay calm and focus their attention in demanding situations and provides a social space to meet others who share their passion.
Our Competitive Team has two separate seasons: Fall (Bouldering Season) and Winter (Rope Climbing Season). Members of the Competition Team will participate in USA Climbing sanctioned events.
The Front Climbing Team is divided into three tracks: Recreational, Intermediate, and Competitive Teams. Athletes may join any level of team at any Front location.
The After School Program is offered for kids age 6-13 who are interested in expanding into adventure sports and may or may not have any prior experience with climbing. ASP familiarizes your child with the basics of the activity and encourages building a solid foundation of climbing skills.
The main goals of the program are to have fun, learn climbing fundamentals, and develop powerful friendships. Our experienced staff will work with your child as they develop their strength and technique, learn about proper gear use, and build, teamwork, and communication skills. Everything is taught in a non-competitive atmosphere.
The Front offers week-long seasonal camps for kids of all ages and experience levels during summer and winter break.
Participants will learn climbing fundamentals such as rope work and climbing movement techniques, while playing games, forming friendships, and having fun on and off the wall! In addition to tuckering them out, our camps teach kids transferable life skills such as problem-solving, self-awareness, goal setting, communication, and perseverance.
